A reminder to everyone.

Posted

I should not have to post this, but the last few days have proved that some in the community need some reminders. Consider this the warning shot across your bow. Any follow up shots will be below the waterline and will result in you sinking.

So, that having been stated. Straight from the rules:

This forum is provided by 1C-777 Ltd. as a courtesy and its usage is a privilege and 1C-777 Ltd. reserves the right to ban any member temporarily or permanently for any reason at any time. Any penalties listed below for violations of the rules are guidelines only and forum administration may take additional action if they feel it is warranted. Use of the forum is not connected to usage of the game and access to this forum is not guaranteed to users as a consequence of purchasing the game.

Comments containing profanity, personal insults, accusations of cheating, excessive rudeness, vulgarity, drug propaganda, political and religious discussion and propaganda, all manifestations of Nazism and racist statements, calls to overthrow governments by force, inciting ethnic hatred, humiliation of persons of a particular gender, sexual orientation or religion are not allowed and will result in a ban.

Violations of this rule will result in the following:

First offense - 3 days ban on entry

Second offense - 7 days of the ban on entry

Third offense - 30 day ban on entry

As I have stated before, there is no place for politics on this forum. NONE. Regardless of what is happening in the real world, it has nothing to do with the IL-2 series. If anything, this should be a place to escape the daily grind of real life. If anyone cannot accept that, then they can remove themselves from this site voluntarily or they will be assisted in that exercise. It’s really simple, and up to the individuals on this forum to make that choice.

The door pictured below is the exit to the real world and it only works one way. Out there you can say whatever you want, whenever you want. Or you can choose to stay on this side of that door and talk about airplanes and tanks. The choice is yours for now. But someone else will be making it for you if we keep having issues.

Is that bottom EXIT sign for the vertically challenged or is it for when you’re crawling out, clinging to life, gasping for air?

Yeah. One of the building's I recently worked in was a warehouse. Lots of boxes and pallets piled high. All the windows and lights are 30' up in the air.

If the building is full of smoke and you are crawling down low, you can still find the doors via the alarm and sign. That is the theory anyway.

I think we are going to need a DD about the features and functions of that door.

I'm adding;

There has also been a significant uptick in taking liberties with both minor and significant profanity within comments/threads. Some of it is in regard to what has been mentioned here. Much of it has not.

It is taking an inordinate amount of time to clean it up without doling out consequences. That gentler approach has yielded more liberties taken, as well as doubling down, rather than less. Please police yourselves accordingly as I will be adhering a little tighter to Rule 7 violations, again, going forward.

That's exactly what it's for.

When a building is full of dense acrid smoke, the few inches near the floor has clear air.

Get your nose into that and follow the signs at floor level to the exit.

Here in Canuckistan, those low signs don’t exist.

What! Who are you guys? Why don't you just tell us what's going on, ditch the secrecy, and fix the bugs. And spare me the fan boys living in rainbow country. MacGyver would have sorted this in 60 minutes.

Macgyver would have fixed the bugs with a tampon and a paper clip.

I was afraid of exit signs as a kid... so that door would've been a bit hyrda like.

One thing the US get's right is American National Standards with building codes...especially fire codes for building construction and ADA codes for people with disabilities. You can go to any new commercial building in the United States and those codes are the same.

For example that door is a right-hand outswing - it MUST be an outswing door for egress purposes in an emergency (especially a fire) It also has panic hardware on it in stead of a knob - in case of a fire you hit the bar and outside you go...my only critique of that door is that the closer should be mounted on the door with thru-bolts instead of being mounted upside down on the frame...the closer arm is also put on wrong as it it should always be parallel to the door itself. That crap drives me crazy.

Bomb racks and Exit doors.... mmmhh... there must be a link, a logical connection but how .......Ahhhh yesss I see now.

How easy once you find it. You get fired out of the exit door like a rocket leaving the bomb rack. Conclusion, you need the bomb rack to be exited.

Clear like crystal or is it.

Wait a minute we said bomb rack, not rocket rails. Aha! In fact, it is even worse.

You get dumped out of the exit door like a bomb leaving the bomb rack. Sounds better now !

That's good stuff, but you need more Agent Smith cadence and then you'll nail it.

Bomb racks... Clearly a bomber... B-25!

Exit doors... Doors... What plane has doors... P-39!

Now a link between the two... Both were used in New Guinea!

Il-2 BoNG (Battle of New Guinea) literally confirmed! :P

(God I wish... ?)

At the risk of upsetting Luke, I will say it was a very interesting read. Thanks!
