Foreign Language Files

Can't believe this info isn't out there but searches have not revealed anything (and I've searched many times in the past, too).

 

I'm updating my mission files after the BON update and it takes a long time - hours in total, and in these days of very expensive electricity it's getting hard to justify the bill payer (that's the Mrs   ) when my powerful PC is running that long without me sat at it. If I delete all the foreign language files, will that have any effect on my English missions?  - cos it would probably make updates a lot quicker.

Nah, there's very likely nothing in the localization files that needs to be updated. Even if there is, these files contain only a fraction of the data and processing is straightforward. Deleting them won't speed up the mission resaving process.

 

(However it won't have any adverse affects either.)
