Error 10027 packet data verification failed

I am getting this error, is there a fix or need a full re install?

I'm no Dev, but the way I read this is that one of the gtp files got corrupted. If you're on Steam, verify the integrity of the game files. If you use the website-bought version, I've heard you can do something similar by deleting the contents of the Update folder, but I can't verify that as I'm a Steam user myself.
