Revvin Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It's so easily done on a bike and one of the biggest contributors to an 'off'. You run wide on a corner and it's quite likely easily saved but you get fixated with the ditch or the Armco and you just just get fixated with it and ride straight towards it. 1
Nankeen Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 when i race virtually This lucky fellow would have been much safer, if he had say, riden virtually that day. I think he would have been less likely to wave at the camera!
Nankeen Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Here in AU, (Vic), we have something simular to the "Dragon", It's called the "Black Spur". Beautiful, but can be quite dangerous. http://www.visitvictoria.com/Regions/Yarra-Valley-and-Dandenong-Ranges/Activities-and-attractions/Touring-routes/Black-Spur-Drive In the past, I'd been up and down it many times. Love the environment.
Revvin Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I got my bike license quite late in life so I hope being a bit older has made me more aware of my own mortality but I often see other bikers take silly risks. At the end of the day you can only go as fast as you twist your wrist. I live about 30 minutes away from Brecon in South Wales and have some fantastic roads to ride where you don't necessarily need to use lots of speed to have fun. This is my little bit of fun at the weekends

Open road crusin, arhhh, the sence of freedom, maybe when the kids become independant young adults, I just might look for that BMW K or R.
