MoleUK Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 I've been looking to grab Normandy for a while, not just for the Mosquito but it's definitely the biggest reason. But I'd like to know beforehand how bad the head movement restrictions are in it, as I may hold off if it's too ott. Is it as bad as the Ju-88 A-4 where you can't even look left/right/down without the head movement being restricted? Reason I ask is that that co-pilot looks close enough to cause real problems. And for that matter, how are the Normandy Ju-88 restrictions also? I wanted to fly the A-4 but it's so bad that it genuinely ruined the experience for me so far.
DD_Crash Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 The navigator in the Mossie is VERY friendly. 3
DD_Arthur Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 The navigator in the Mossie doesn’t really get in the way. In fact as long as you don’t look over your right shoulder you won’t be aware of him. The problem in VR is once you’ve seen him looming just behind your shoulder, you become worried you’ll next feel his hand on your knee!? Head movement restrictions? Isn’t it a server option in multiplayer? Can’t remember but I’m pretty sure you have an option to enable it or not in single player? 2

Just as long as he doesn't start getting handsy. 3 hours ago, DD_Arthur said: The navigator in the Mossie doesn’t really get in the way. I only typically fly MP, and all MP servers have the movement restricted as it's tied to external views afaik. So if he physically blocks my head movement when just looking to my right, that'd be almost a dealbreaker. 1
Talon_ Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Honestly it's not too bad. The gunsight being in the middle despite sitting on the left meant 1C had no choice but to give you a big box to wiggle around in. 1

MoleUK Posted November 4, 2022 Author Posted November 4, 2022 As an update for anyone who is also hesitating: The mosquito feels VERY good in VR. I can get my eye almost right up to the canopy glass on the left/right side. Can't quite get all the way to the front canopy, and looking down immediately restricts movement, but it's definitely one of the best VR cockpits imo so far in terms of head restrictions. 1
