SCG_motoadve Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I tried it before, and it did not worked. Now with the new customizable controls profiles , I thought it might work, I tried it and IL2 does not recognize my yoke's axis, pitch and roll. buttons work ok though. If I test on windows, the axes are fine. Has anyone managed to make this work?
Voyager Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Does it not see the axis at all when binding? Or is it just that it always uses one bind thing first?
Lusekofte Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I have fulcrum yoke and a stick I use both dedicated on the planes I want them used
Sokol1 Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 You can use two different controllers for pitch and roll, and can exchange the profiles "on the fly". I just' don't test with an Yoke, don't have one. Quote I tried it and IL2 does not recognize my yoke's axis, pitch and roll. Perhaps the old trick of rename "devices.txt" help for Yoke appear in keybinds.

It does not see the pitch and roll axis at all, however it does see the throttle axis that is included in the yoke.
[CPT]Crunch Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 You'll have to edit it manually in the data/input/current ACTIONS file. Press a button to pin on your yoke, than convert the test to an axis input. All virpil hand breaks have to be done this way on sticks, they aren't recognized by the game since a button also gets triggered on the squeeze. joy2_b9, changed to joy2_axis_z, you'll have to figure out which axis letter goes with which axis.

For assigning axis on VIrpil hardware for IL-2 can one not just temporarily remove the button press in the Virpil software?

Thanks, tried this and did not worked.
Jade_Monkey Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Can you manually write the axis in the input file and see if it recognizes it without detecting it?

Sokol1 Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 The game recognize this yoke if you unplug the joystick? Test this renaming the "devices.txt" first.
