Funkster Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) Is there anyway to alter the G force on Pilots head? I use TrackIR and every time I pull a tight turn my (virtual) head is forced down and I have to re-center constantly. I have noticed that without TrackIR the head recenters quiet well and is great but with Trackir it always seems to move down / off centre? I really like the head shake effect but its really immersion breaking to have to keep recentering after a high G pull. Edited October 25, 2022 by Funkster

Most people prefer to disable it.
Funkster Posted October 25, 2022 Author Posted October 25, 2022 Thanks Buzz . I am actually getting more use to it. Just need to unload more coming out of the turn...which is good for aimming anyway. All good ?

I stopped disabling the headshakes a few weeks after (or before?) the release of the Tobruk expansion. For more than two years now I'm perfectly used to the headshakes inside my pit, and I fully enjoy my simulation with all "full realism" options selected. I don't use info windows neither, this way my monitor shows a view that is closer to the sight a pilot has in the real world. I love, I love, I love... I love this game. Now I only need to fix my rig (or buy another one ) cause I simply cannot play at the moment.
Dagwoodyt Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 (edited) I use TiR. I just now checked my settings and see that head shake is enabled. TBH I've never noticed much of an effect. Flying Spitfires and Martlets, mostly.? Edited October 26, 2022 by Dagwoodyt
5th_Barone Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Headshake is a must have for me because it also enable stall buffets effect. Problem is, since the new G model was out some patch ago it's the jelly neck pilot fest. It's exaggerated and not as good as it used to be. I understand that the way it is simulated now can go more in depth than before but it's still way out for me. It has a huge spring effect for even the smallest changes. Even on takeoffs. Any plans to fix it? 2
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 S! Turned headshake off as the pilot bounces like a rubber ball inside cockpit. Have experienced 7.1G+ in a F/A-18D and did not have any of these moves/bounced as in Cliffs. The effect could be toned down somewhat. 3
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 If it ain‘t broke, don‘t fix it. Why change it? Really… It’s the Jello pilot.
