Confused - Convergence

Sorry,  I have read a lot of forums posts on this topic and to be honest I am just confused as many of the threads go off on tangents / debates about historical accuracy etc. Therefore can anyone clarify in simple terms the following?

 

• Does changing the loadout / convergence in the "Main Menu/Option/Plane/loadout" change the loadout in Single player missions and quick missions? 
• If it does how do you select the loadout? I have tested and it doesn't seem to appear in drop down?
• If not how do you change loadout/convergence in SP/QM? (User.ini, multi player etc????) 
• Or is it just NOT possible?

 

Apologies if I have missed something or  just being dumb.

Loadout offline: no effect in missions (quick, single, campaign). You can change it in the options and save as and all, but in missions they won‘t be used even if you select them from the dropdown (iirc they appear but have no effect).

 

Convergence: it should work as configured.

 

Changing for individual missions: save the missions file in the proper folder (see links below), open it with the full mission builder, select you aircraft (player) and change the loadout there to one you previously saved under Options.

Or one you saved /changed in a multiplayer server, that works too but still won‘t apply to single player.

Np problem. Yeah, it is suboptimal how everything is spread out lol

 

ATAG has basically everything since there is where it all started. Even in threads going back almost a decade. Most of the stuff  there still apply though.

Reading backwards takes some skill.... but writing backwards is a totally freakish talent ?
