TheSaxman Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 Am I the only one who feels that the default head position on the Nieuport is off, especially in VR? In VR the head position appears to be either just over or aft of the back of the pilot's seat (looking down you can clearly see the lip of the seat back). It feels like the default head position should be moved forward about 8-12" to better fit where the pilot's head would actually be located when seated.
J99_Sizzlorr Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 You can alter the headposition yourself in game. I think that applies for VR as well...
TheSaxman Posted October 21, 2022 Author Posted October 21, 2022 You sure? Most games that have head tracking (either VR or TrackIR, etc.) override the head positions for the snap views.

You can change what the game figures as being a center’d viewpoint in the aircraft. Have a search on the forum for snapviews. You can either change them in game with the (default keybinding) of F10 (i think) or you can edit the snap view files themselves with notepad in data/luascripts/snapviews. J99_Sizzlorr Posted October 21, 2022 Posted October 21, 2022 (edited) Yes I am sure for track ir at least. I did it many times. I think there is also a lua config file where you can alter the numbers to your liking. But the method for track fir or is that you deactivate it and then use the buttons above your arrow keys on your keyboard to move the head around. You can save the headposition by pressing F10 IIRC. If VR doesn't let you deactivate it try to run the game without it and configure your headpositions. After that restart the game in VR. Edited October 21, 2022 by J99_Sizzlorr
