Hud (speed-bar) missing - NOT fixed

Normandy summer map:

 

All of a sudden my speed-bar or HUD is not working with one particular mission.

Pressing H or I does not bring it up ... in settings show HUD is always on.

Settings are as always when it worded. Any ideas?

Other Missions load fine ...

Reloading the mission after deleting the msnbin, or loading from the msnbin file,

even reloading the lot again via grouping all as  in export did not fix it

 

PS the M pilot map at the right shows the same area in 2 different sizes, not the extended map with the larger version..

Difficulty settings changed by the mission somehow?

Where do i find it? Coincidence: I was testing your AAA mod when i first noticed it, think you've done a great job.

Noticed the missing HUID, removed the mod, fault still there.

Not sure. Guess I was thinking that the server settings are forced on the client so wondered if you can somehow embed difficulty settings in a mission. I don't know the mission editor to any real extent so all guessing on my part.

I reinstalled 5.002b fresh; it works now.

Added a week later. AGAIN it disappeared, only in one (complicated) mission.

Curious...was it a 109 you were flying?

nope, a hurricane, works OK in another Normandy mission. changing player did not help ...

Maybe this has to do with it, swf gui error files found in my data folder, to do with an IL2 font?:

This is what happens when you install mods and don't properly install/uninstall them. You're probably gonna have to perform a clean reinstall if you want to be fully rid of the problem.

Thnx, just did that, but in that particular mission the hud is still not shown ... maybe it's something set by the mission editor in the mission file,

but i could not find it. It's a SP mission. .. Other missions load fine

 

I tried a new player (new kid on the block), still the same. BTW the _gui errors above are now gone.

 

Just found something weird; the player plane's name with i on shows the name of the plane itself, not my usual "name".

Maybe there is some server-MP setting lingering on in SP and Campaign mode ... tried both now.

 

maybe i got too many entities: missionintegrityerrors.txt:

Did/do you use EffeDB's old unique skins & ww1 planes mod? 

 

I lately discovered the files in the were out of sync with the current game version and this was giving me issues with 109s and the hud (I use the compass to save my eyes trying to read the one in the cockpit). I uploaded a corrected version in mods a few days ago. Would not have impacted Hurri's though

Nope, it's only with this particular mission (and the earlier versions of it) and related to the Normandy Summer map.

Just tested a few others, and all seems working there. Also with the same map ....

 

Weird is also that mission type occasionally jumps to the same "Special mission squad paradrop" when loading into the ME,

and doesn't load in the game after that (MP?). This instead of Single or Campaign which it should as i set it..

 

ADDED: Just noticed something also weird, in game when you press ESCape, it says FINISH SPECTATE instead of FINISH MISSION.

Odd! I have seen that in MP coops where people started the mission before I could join. Perhaps it's the mission having the problem, not you?

? ... i guess it has to to with some bug related to MP. Some parameter set at least i cannot find ...

 

FOUND SOMETHING related to MP;  red IS ADDED LINE. (i saved both as SINGLE mission type in the ME (mission type "0'' ).

Manually editing does not work as the mp line "bug" it seems always coded into the saved msnbin file by the ME.

 

ADDED:  .. i started making this mission again by one by one importing the grouped mission files in to a new fresh map.

Checking behavior after each importing change almost, and the Finish Spectate above seems gone, and the HUD is back acting normally.
