ME 410 Pilot Siting Position?

It looks like he is sitting about a foot away from the seat. That can't be correct (or is it?) ?

Maybe the seating position is correct looking at this real shot I clipped from a video? Now we just need to find out why the gunner looks like he's sitting on the floor in-game lol

***Side question: DDoes anybody know why the pilot figure's goggles seem to "stand out" (bright black) from the window opacity when viewed from outside?

That's absolutely correct. Minding the difference in angles, the pilot in the game seated exactly like on your clip.

You shouldn't make assumptions like that basing on a single photo.

It's a technical limitation of rendering several opacle objects on behind another.

Thanks! I found a few pics later with the pilot and gunner (I added one in the initial post, pretty cool stuff).

Regarding the opacity/goggle issue, it seems like each of the aircraft models are created differently with regards to how they are textured. For instance, look at how the Stuka external glass compares to the ME 410 and then compared to the 110 G2. Of all of them, the 110 G2 looks the best/most realistic (depth + shine effects). The Stuka looks like it basically has nothing and the crew is riding in a jeep, the 410 looks like it has a "milky" texture for the glass (which also adds to that opacity issue.....same issue affecting the ES44 in Train Sim World 2/3) while the 110 G2 actually looks like glass. I wish there was more consistency in how things are created. It's almost like they were done by completely different teams/skill levels. If all the glass could look like the texture of the 110 G2 they'd be perfect. The 410 is a little odd with the "milky" look and the Stuka really needs some help in this area since the external glass texture is basically non-existent.
