On a meager 5700 xt (praying this won't be broken by next AMD driver, like they broke Dx9 and OpenGL), I've got +10-20 fps most of the time and sometimes even more! Absolutely stellar job by devs, whatever magic was being done under the hood. One request in this regard: could you please add a FPS limiter/goal option that's 75fps. Currently there are either 60 or 80 and Adrenalin's Chill option doesn't work properly, so can't limit it. At the moment there are times when my FPS goes up to a 110, which is insane. Insanely good too! ps: hoping that AI will get there too! 1

depapier Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 So just to make clear, while my FPS are easily 70-90 these days in Career missions with dense environment, the slowdown with many AI units around still occurs. This is kinda hard to clock, cause the framerate does not change but it feels like you're moving through slow motion. Seems like it affects the sound a bit. But other than that things are much faster and the temps on the GPU are better as well, seems like a lower load? 2
Denum Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 If you have ssao on with AMD it causes huge FPS issues you need to turn it off.
depapier Posted October 21, 2022 Author Posted October 21, 2022 I have SSAO on and see little difference when it's off, albeit visually its noticeable worse. The slowdown I'm referring to has little to do with GPU performance since its utilization, or its vram usage doesn't change. Am afraid it's just the engine problem with being able to handle too many AI controlled entities.
