Only bomb or rocket armed fighters?....

Am I right in saying that fighter aircraft which only carry machine guns and cannon will not strafe ground targets and that fighter bombers will only strafe after firing off their rockets or dropping their bombs?

I think this part of the sentence is correct. The first part however I am not so sure. It may depend on the aircraft. The IL2 will definitively strafe. Could be that planes considered ground attack planes will strafe and those considered pure fighters will not. I have not checked all the planes in AI mode so the jury is out on that.

Hello IckyAtlas and thanks for your reply. I actually worked this out last night and it was pretty simple though I only tried with a Spitfire Vb. I'll get back yo you later today.

Hello IckyAtlas this is what I did. I put down an AI Spifire Vb, a waypoint, a command Attack MCU, then another waypoint. The command Attack was target linked to an AA gun. The AI aircraft was object linked from the first waypoint and in it's Report section was put OnTargetAttacked and then target second waypoint. So it's first waypoint target linked to command Attack which leads to second waypoint as per aircraft report. The Spifire flew to the AA gun, strafed it with machine guns and cannons, one pass and then flew off to the second waypoint.
