fix engine sounds

To me it seems that the engine noises, specifically 3rd person view and flyby are not quite right. Any chance these could be improved? I hate to compare to DCS but they really nailed this component.

You must be an audiologist, because FC sounds pretty good to me, not that I’ve heard the sound of WW1 plane in my entire life.

They could be much better , they are not much changed from ROF times,  and when you compare how rotary engines sounds  or when engine is bliped there are big differences.

Would be cool if that was "adjusted" at some point. But to be honest, I hope that going forward they spend less of their limited time on eye and ear candy, and more time on game functions issues like weak wings, maps, mission builder, new planes, etc.  At least until these known issues and promised features are fixed/finished.

For sure there is sound guy who do its job and do not touch damage model. This could be done parallel .

100 percent agree, but was under the impression they have very few staff members.

I totally disagree! Sound is very important for immersion! I play also WOFF, all planes with different engines sound different, not to talk about guns too, and despite the very old  engine(CSF3) they can do it . For me this is the weakest point of all the game!

What sound does it make when your wings fall off?  ? Don't get me wrong, I did say a sound tweak would be nice.  But are you enjoying the FC2 map?  How about the advanced QMB for FC? Working well for you?

Missing sounds:

 

Pilot should shout "Geronimo" when bailing out.  Pilot should also shout f-bombs when he discovers he had no parachute..  then loud prayers to player configured deity of choice, followed by blood curdling screams of terror as he smack the ground.   Now that would be immersion.

 

And I supposed if they can't or wont fix the FC weak wings issue, perhaps they could add some appropriate snap, crackle, pop sounds when they fall off after a few bullets ( followed by f-bombs)..  immersion...

?
