Moving Squadrons in the Official Career Mode

I've unpacked the required files, but when I change the Squadron's airbase, nothing happens.  I've made changes to the Career before, like changing planes and skins, and it worked.  I'm wondering if that's hard-coded somewhere.

 

And yes, I know about PWCG. ? 

 

I'm just trying to move a P-38 Squadron to France a little earlier than usual.

This could be a long-term bug in the game. When initiating a transfer to another squadron, nothing happens when you klick on " next day", i.e. after that it's still the same day and you're stilll with your old squadron.

 

For me, the following "bugfix" worked out: Leave the career and go to the main menu, then go back to your career and you should be in the new squadron at the next day.

 

Unfortunately, there are quite a couple of nasty bugs in the singleplayer part of the game since years and the will probably never be fixed ?

Yeah, on the Career select screen it shows my pilot based at the new modded airfield, but when I go into the career itself, I'm still at the old one.

There are separate airfield database files that have to be changed as well, but I'm not sure those are accessible by modders.

Ah...gotcha.  I'll stop pulling my hair out.
