Anyone else suffered an FPS drop as a result of the new patch? Im running a Quest 2 and was at a steady 70fps before the patch, now its down to 44fps and has this strange jerky motion to the gameplay!

If you've only just started playing again after a bit of a pause while waiting for the update to 5.002, did you update Windows 11 to the most recent build (22H2) in the meantime? If so, it might not be a issue at all with IL-2 but rather with the most recent Windows update. In its current form, It appears to have a very negative impact on VR performance.

I’m still running windows 10 tbh, although not sure if that will help things or not ?

Yes I also realize a performance drope with the Battle of Normandy release. Not sure if it is the 5.002.
It can be a bit frustrating if you always upgrade you system and a view updates later you have a Potato again. ?

HP G2 Headset, rtx3080 10G, r5600x, 32Gb RAM, Win10 21h2, Nvidia Driver 526.47
The Game runned by around 90fps constantly before BoN release. Now Motion Reprojection and stutters. Now, GPU is by around 50% usage Reprojection but the CPU has trouble.

Addition: I played a bit with my settings yesterday:
Steam runs Reprojection the hole time, even in Auto Reprojection Option (It wasn't the case before). If I deactivate Reprojection manually, it goes to 90fps GPU side. The CPU can't hold up the 90fps even if the latency is under 10ms. Same in Project Cars 2. This behavior is new and I notice also a very strange stutter in DCS with SteamVR. About a month before, IL2 runned absolut smooth and DCS Stable in this settings.

It seems I have a multible System issue here.  Windows Update, Steam VR, NVidia, IL2   ?

Huge frame drops have happened to me twice after updates. Like 30fps. Each time I deleted the startup.cfg file and let it repopulate automatically and it fixed the problem. Of course you have to put your desired settings in again but it's no biggie.

Odd, next time keep a copy and maybe we can figure out what actually causes the drop.
