AQMB Beachhead mission

I will give a look here on a beachhead mission from the performance side, and the visual action side.

1) Performance

Setup, all ultra max and 4K. Enemy action "Overwhelming", flying four Spitfires IX.

Clouds are Extreme and of the Cumulonimbus Overcast

Running an 11900K and a 3090 (non Ti). There is no VSync activated here (screen is a 60Hz 4K screen) but to avoid the image tearing effect I use the Nvidia driver parameter regarding the VSync in "Fast" mode which is a compromise with faster FPS than the screen frequency but without the tearing effect. This makes for slower FPS than the max it could deliver but still better than with traditional VSync.

This time I looked at my FPS in the sky but also on the sea, ground with the ships.

In the skies FPS stays between 100 - 120, but on the ground, it is a different matter.

FPS varies a lot depending on what is in the view. When you leave your plane with a free camera and are at sea level and in your view, you have all the ships the aerostats and the action, ground artillery, ship artillery, Lca and Lct offloading troops and tanks etc. FPS goes down to 50-70 depending on image clutter. Is it a GPU limitation or CPU limitation, hard to say.

1) Visual action

In 4K with all maxed up visual graphic quality is excellent. Now about the action and here so many nice surprises.

We have destroyers further away firing against coastal artillery, and we have Lca, Lct and Lci boats going for the beach.

The Lci boats have aerostats that are tethered to them, and they trail behind in a very realistic effect.

Then when these ships hit the ground, they disembark troops and tanks as they fire against machinegun positions and artillery positions.

And then we see that the three types of boats when finished disembarking troops and equipment they do pull out of the beach backwards and then slowly turn and then go away. And most of all when the Lci moves backwards from the beach first very slowly and then a little faster the aerostat tethered to it will also slowly turn in the wind in a very realistic way. So, the Lci goes backwards, and the aerostat has its nose in the wind. Then the Lci will turn and move away the Aerostat will keep the right position in the wind.

Well done devs beatiful.

But all is not perfect and something very visible is missing here "visually speaking".

All these Lca, Lci and Lct that are just empty. Isn't it possible to have them full of troops and tanks, and when they disembark, they become empty? That would be so realistic.

And we are also missing infantry in German uniforms (for Bon and BoBp), and please make them also in Soviet uniforms for the Eastern Maps (Kuban, Stalingrad, Moscow). Han our dreams are in your hands.?
