Disk space required for dedicated server

The disk space requirements for hosting a dedicated server have always been large, because the dedicated server is basically part of the 'main' game distribution. So at the moment, to run a dedicated server, you need 60GB of space, plus space for updates.

 

The Combat Box servers have run out of disk space. I'm currently trying to free up enough space that we can perform the latest update. Whilst I love the fact that the live game includes many aircraft skins, my dedicated server doesn't care about skins. Or audio files. Or probably most of the 3D models.

 

Is there a way to reduce the required disk space for a dedicated server? "You need 200GB of disk space to run a dedicated server" is going to make it hard for people to do that. Any ideas?
