Yes, currently. This should not require rewriting the game engine to fix, I think...

You have to select a national skin for the plane on the Quick Mission Builder skin, not in the hangar right before the mission. That way you will generate the mission with the desired country set for you plane, then in the pre-mission hangar setup you free to set your custom skin.

I know I complain and am known for complaining and arguing. That being said, my complaints have always been in regards to improvements and fixes for AI (not always but I do try). I am not an online player at all. I generally only fly Careers, PWCG or Scripted. I am also one of the first to compliment any AI improvements and always try to come on the forums to compliment any and all improvements for AI. This is one of those moments. Thank you. Seriously. This may not seem like a big one to most people or even the devs but this is a HUGE one to me. I can't tell you the number of times I've spammed the commands. So for this.. Thank you. Again I will always try to be the first to praise any AI improvements, but I will also be the first to complain about them. I look forward to any more improvements you have in store for the future and honestly. This little "patch" for ai is better to me than everything else with this update. That's how important AI improvements are to me.

Seriously, this is a massive improvement for the immersion of career/PWCG ?

I don’t see the option on the Normandy Summer QMB map. Never had an issue before.

 

But this is still a fine update. Thanks. I’m sure we will sort this out quickly.

The 5.002 version number doesn't convey what a leap in features this release represents. 

Having no idea about how version numbers are decided, I'd say this is at least 5.101.

Good to see all the global improvements we're getting. This is great stuff.

 

I've also noticed that since 5.0, planes seem to generate more fragments when they explode. More of a confetti effect. I haven't seen it mentioned, but I like it a lot; it makes it feel more like they're disintegrating in mid air rather than just splitting into some large components. Well done on that.

I'm not sure if this is the case, but I have noticed debris hitting my aircraft more often... so that fits.

 

Also, is anyone noticing that guns sound better? Might've just been that I've had my volume set too low though.

As I posted earlier it's not on Stalingrad summer map either for QMB missions. Seems to be bug affecting some QMB maps.

Same here. Bigger the guns, the more debris! I'm guessing this is the the new DM, which I think is really working well. Even the rifle caliber MG's have some punch now.

At the "Choose plane" window, to the left of the model list, there is the option to choose between allies and axis powers. Select one of the options and you will be able to set the marks at the mission briefing phase.

I offer no solutions, only suggestions. But if there's a will, there's a way. ?‍♂️ The port/starboard slots would have to be decoupled to avoid the mirroring. Would be a nice option for folks like me. That's my $0.02

Great update, I have noticed many improvements. Really like the new propeller effects, and also noticed my wing men did not lag behind when I was climbing (as noted). Really appreciate the updates made to the friendly AI, and hope improvements continue. Much appreciated.

Enjoying everything in the update, but surprisingly the DVD is what impresses me most.

Churchill is a beast. Too bad we have the map, that most of these Tanks actually fought. But we have Soviet crews. 

 

Seems backwards too me.

If the DVD damage is in fact accurate, initial observation in QMB mode seems to indicate that over 60% of .50 cal, at 300m, simply shatter on the surface of the target plane.

Nice update, good job.  I always wondered why in all sims that I know propellers are made immune to damage from machine guns and cannons...

for the history of the dome of the stug, I find plenty of photos showing this one during the kursk period, I did not find a story that it was post Kursk...

Stug III G rotating cupola September 1943. Several months after Kursk.

 

The Churchill model is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend purchasing the Churchill.

not talking about rotating cupola was always there and on some vehicles there was non rotating just due to shortages of ball bearings
