Mosquito Normandy Missions- No Wingmen?

I have been playing the Normandy Career lately and started flying the Mossie.

 

However, all the Missions I encountered until now, I have been flying alone. 

I understand that this makes somehow sence for night raids (still you are an easy target for flak), but there are also Free Hunt Missions that you fly alone. You meet a flight of 5 Focke Wolfs and then it's game over.

Tried multiple squadrons, but always the same. 

Is it supposed to be this way?

Only two missions so far. First time it was a solo night raid, the second time our 8 mosquitos were covered by spitfires - so no feelings of loneliness so far.

I raised the issue in the Normandy release thread.  Apparently these free hunt missions were flown IRL.  Of course their missions didn't have a flight of 190's using them as a mission waypoint, guaranteeing an intercept...  An ongoing issue with the campaign mission generator.
