I have an active Linked Entry Ship docked in a harbor, no waypoints set, ship is only activated, enabled.

How can you make sure the onboard flak is shooting at incoming enemy bombers?

I noticed that f.i. on a Destroyer only one gun seems to be firing.

You need to use timers to a Command Attack set to low. Something like:

Something that starts the activation of the boat (I use a Checkzones) -> Timer -> Activation -object link-> Ship <-object link back to ship
                                                                                                                         |                                                                   | 
                                                                                                                          -> Timer 1 sec -> Command Attack Area (set to low)

I like to give my AAA units (including ships) unlimited ammo. This way they will continue to attack enemy planes no matter what. Don't forget to disable the ship, so that it only activates when enemy planes are nearby.

In the same vein, I also give the Command Attack Area unlimited time. As long as an enemy plane is within range of the AAA unit (the ship), then it'll attack the enemy planes.

This is the checkzones logic - it detects when enemy planes are nearby or not.

That's about the setup i used .... but i guess the gunners are quite lazy.

Mission is still not finished ... partly works OK now.:

The Cowes Town and Isle of Wight map is not very accurate for 1942 at least, but workable.

Like the Cowes Castle was missing, so i flew in Dover castle LoL.

 

For now i am still in a battle with essential plane and ship MCU behavior, but it's playable, and i will update it later when i get the time.

 

Hurricane mission UPDATED,  and you''ll need a powerful GPU and CPUed rig, as it's very MCU intensive still ...

Sometimes to wake the gunners I just shake the ship up. Put a waypoint with priority low just a meter away at low speed and voilà.
