In the control set up you can set a "sensitivity" for e.g. pitch and roll axes, which is basically a curve. But for axis assignment for throttle (or similar), this option isn't there and all you have are the dead zone settings.

Is there any way around this, or way to set this elsewhere?

I use a pinky wheel on my throttle for RPM but it's difficult to make small movements accurately. I would like for RPM to be at 80% when my axis is only at 50%, so I have more movement range to change between combat and emergency RPM.

i have the same question, and i cant believe that i can not make this change as setting curves should be a basic function.

I'm really late to this thread. Maybe this will help others. You need vjoy and joystick gremlin to set up throttle and rpm curves. Joystick gremlin allows you to set up the curves. It modifies the output of your levers into a new output which is fed to vjoy. Vjoy is a virtual joystick that tricks your system into thinking its a real joystick with axes and buttons.

I've read his post, and never heard what kind of set up he owns. TMWH, Virpil, VKB, Win Wing? You can adjust every axis for each plane separately, in game with the Keymapping GUI.(Roll, Yaw, Pitch, R/L Brakes, Throttle L/R, RPM,  I know TARGET let's you adjust all your axis in either an "S" or "J" curve, and change axis names. VPC or SIMAPPRO... can't help you. What you are wanting is a TARGET J curve....Throttle is at 70% of travel but Virtual Throttle is at 100% in game..... well, you can't do that in game.... and you can't do that in DCS either. Learn the Software for your set up, if it can't meet your needs, find software that will.
