PaladinX Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 (edited) Hello all, i use a 4K screen @ 120 Hz normally. Sturmovik runs fullscreen when i set it to the desktop resolution of 3840x2160 @120. When i want to fly in 1920x1080 (want to test how spotting changes for me), its just a centered small window with 1920x1080. The game completely ignores the Fullscreen-Setting. This issue is unique with Sturmovik (no issue with all other games or sims like DCS, Sturmo 46, MSFS, etc) Screen scaling etc is all set correct in my Nvidia control panel. Why does the game ignore the fullscreen setting? IckyATLAS Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 I checked it and indeed you are right. When I tried it I got a message from my Screen Driver who told me that I was attempting to display a low resolution image on a high resolution screen and thus either to change screen resolution or game resolution. Not doing so I got IL2 displayed in a smaller window at the center. The only way to play properly at HD resolution on my 4K screen is to set the screen resolution to HD and then all is ok. The "full screen "mode applies when the two resolutions match, and if not then it is a full screen but at the res of your game size. Otherwise you play in windowed mode which is slower. Now regarding autoscale beware that this is not an image autoscale it is related to the "interface autoscale" and this works well indeed.
SYN_Mugue Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Have you guys tried, L-alt Enter, to toggle the window to full screen? I run my 4k monitor @1440p (best spotting/eye candy compromise for me) without problems and I've tested many other res.'s without issue...btw this is on windows10. Or maybe you've found a new "feature" of W11. Sometimes mine will pop out of full screen but I can usually get it back by alt entering. Hope that helps Cheers M. 1
vonGraf Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Works for me too (that's described in the post above mine)
