Interesting twist to the Bodenplatte campaign.

Hello all,

So I'm flying a P-51 in the Bodenplatte campaign. Run-of-the-mill missions, enjoying the increased .50 cal damage. As happens from time to time, new pilots come in and aircraft are replaced. Well today some aircraft replacements arrived. Two P-51-B5s.

Didn't think many would be around in January 1945 but it's an interesting twist to the campaign.

The squadron you are flying had at least one all the way through the end of the war. Historically, they should probably be only receiving Ds as replacements, but I don't think the game can handle an aircraft being in the roster without it being a valid replacement.

Fair enough, it's a nice touch integrating aircraft form a different campaign - especially one that didn't exist until recently - into Bodenplatte.

The same happens with the P-47 squadrons in Bodenplatte, with D-22s continuously being replenished along with D-28s. Basically for the Mustangs both the P-51Bs and P-51Ds are active throughout the entire campaign. By default though only one of the three USAAF P-51 squadrons is even equipped with P-51Bs. That squadron can be edited to phase out the B-5 models midway through the campaign.

Would be nice if they could implement a system to have a finite number after a certain date, like not pulling it from service, but replacing them as destroyed.
