Custom squad emblems

 

Suggestion: Ability to implement personal squad stickers/emblems on the various il2 Great Battles planes and tanks.
Seeing the ability of the developer team to implement the tactical numerals, it came to my mind that this addition to the emblems could be interesting, it is known that each plane should be reviewed one by one and enable a specific area for these details, but it seems viable. Another thing is that it enters the future plans.

 

Advantages: I think it's a great advantage so that the squads or pilots can feel differentiated, feel in their own squads, have more freedom of customization, I think everyone likes it.
It would also save countless Custom skins for squads that in the end accumulate many GB on PCs, and it would help in MP, to be able to recognize other recognized squads at a glance.

 

Form of implementation: it occurs to me that the pilot/player can be given the freedom to choose which emblems he wants to see, that is, if I am interested in MP seeing the emblems of X squadrons and not others... Being able to add and delete those that we don't want to see, simply with an additional folder in our installation, similar to the one we have for airplane skins, or cabin photos, so we can control this type of thing.

It is well known that this would imply an extra effort on the part of the developers, but who knows one day it may be revised

Meanwhile the tactical numerals seem to arrive and 100% is appreciated

There is the other aspect of setting the location on the aircraft but some standardization historically existed i guess.  Having had the "pleasure" of producing some several hundred skins for SCG, i can see the value but equally, whilst this works pretty well for some types, 109s, 190s etc with their varied base cammo and infinately varied mottle would need a few "blanks" as options to carry it off convincingly.

In this case it would be valid for the entire community, including people who are not familiar with image editors, to edit their own skins, as you say, I have also made hundreds of skins for my squad, but in the end you end up seeing only those who Your colleagues have basically downloaded and that's it. This suggestion that I propose is for everyone, that is, that you can connect to MP, and see the rest of the squads quickly without having to download +-60 skins per squad that you would like to share the flight, it is a savage, I understand that This global form of customization is that, global, and if later on in a particular way it does not convince, it is because they are looking for some more notable difference, I have seen the SCG skins and they look very varied and personalized, but obviously I am not going to download +- 1GB more to see you in MP, because the same would have to be done with the 20 more squads to identify you. I do not pretend that this is a debate or anything like that, simply a suggestion, that if you share the idea?, simply support it and that it is up to the devs whether to put it in the future or not, that is no longer in our hands, thanks .

Oh I do support it. Its a great idea. All I was suggesting was a couple more generic blank skins for some aircraft to vary the base. No need to have a tantrum.

I think it is a great idea. I also believe that it is an easy way and with little space on the ssd to customize skins. It would save us many GBs in useless skins.

Agree!!! Hopefully this is something the devs can consider shortly.
