Blitzen Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Through Steam I’ve had a continual series of freezes that any have continued no matter what I did over the past year.In response I have gone back to my original install which works fine, which was in C : BUT because of space constraints I’ve copied it to my D : and then transferred all current folders from my Steam install to update it. It worked great esp. with OpenComposite an the newest NeckSaver beta..GOOD NEWS! However I am concerned about being able to update this new install when developers offer hot fixes or optional planes ( like the upcoming C-47,) in this new working position in the ? drive. Can someone work me through this .In Steam it is automatic but now I’m not sure howw I can handle it.
firdimigdi Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 (edited) It doesn't matter, the launcher (that handles the update process as well) treats your current installation path, from which the launcher was started, as the path to use. It doesn't check registry or anything else. Edited October 8, 2022 by Firdimigdi clarification
