I think it's pretty obvious at this point that he's been nabbed by the feds.  Works for a Russian affiliated company, goes around collecting data on American military hardware, etc...  Only one thing to do at this point, and that's to get the word out:

I wouldn't be surprised if Jason calls it quits now after delivering these excellent modules and moves on to his next gig. It's been a good run and almost all the long term objectives for the sim have been achieved - it's in a great place overall no doubt.

Jack could have made us a checklist of all the possible cellars in the world he could be sittin in……..then another list of all the ones he couldn’t……. Then another list of all the ones he should be in but isn’t…….. In order of cubic space and potentially attractiveness to Smith ( am assuming we are still pinning this on Smith??).

I think they realised this was serious after I explained that I’d never actually met Jason or knew anything at all about him

 

Line was real bad but I think they said something about me having waisted enough time already

 

Anyhow they are  coming round. Must be real bad as they told me not to phone again so I think they need my phone clear just in case. 
 

EDIT I’ll be honest. Not the response I expected. Rather rude in fact. Did leave me a list of their favourite panda cars  for Jack though….which was nice of them

Since he left the development of air & space engineering (the soviet period in his life) and PC flight sims (the Maddox Games period in his life), last news is, chronologically:

 

Fishing equipment

Architectural 3D-design software

Development of sporting compressed-air weaponry

 

So I guess he still is dealing with his pneumatic rifles designs... unless he's already doing something different... for example... managing 777 Studios and 1C Game Studios... Dunno... only a suggestion...

Thanks! I recall him doing underwater photography and some other work related to that - but I hadn't heard anything since. I talked to him a number of times over the years and he was always nice, so I'm glad to hear his adventures continue.
