Slightly worried as to the absence of Jason recently... with the recent departure of one of the stalwarts of the game, I'm hoping he hasn't gone west as well.

Hopefully he is just having a well earned rest and getting away from the madness of the forums!

Didn't he move to Texas at some point?

Anyway, if he goes west, beyond Mexico, California and places like that, he ends up ...  in the PACIFIC. 

They are not going there, I heard.

I honestly can't even begin to imagine how difficult running this business has been for him over the past 2.5 years and especially the past 6 months.  Hopefully, he is enjoying a VERY well deserved rest following the release of the current Crown Jewel of the series.

Normandy just launched.

 

He's probably taking a little breather before they jump head first into the next module.

Yes, I would say on holiday, or at home, or on holiday at home... would all be the most likely possibilities. I have no reason to think we'd have anything to worry about. I do hope he feels appreciated rather than hounded when he sees this thread though.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I go into mental "The Dude mode" for about a month after a big work project finishes up. And my projects don't normally involve dealing with plagues and wars! I'd be more worried if he wasn't staying scarce in the immediate aftermath of Normandy's completion.

And I would have expected him to do the announcement since that sort of thing (deserved holyday or not) should have been "Chefsache"  shouldn´t it?

Sort of strange in my book. Anyway, he´ll be fine. ?

I'll have bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, a couple pancakes on the side, some Tabasco sauce for the eggs and a pot of fresh coffee please.

He's only posted once since September 8th... And I still visit the forum regularly and hardly ever post. I assure you, lurking is a normal thing to do; even as the producer of the game.

It is very odd, isn't it?  I suspect that now BoN is out the door,  a large development cycle has been completed and management structures within 1CG are changing.

 

It would seem obvious that world events these last few months have made the previous arrangements we have enjoyed - that have made the IL2GB series so fruitful for all of us, both customers and developers - are now untenable. 

 

A great shame.....

Lots of doomer talk here. They have already announced an upcoming update and described it as a big one which tells us they are very hard at work. On the other hand, they are moving on to the next expansion so there would probably be some major internal organisation and preparation along with extensive research to make it. Also some Devs may have taken holidays after their long hard work for a bit.
