Ju 88 C-6 Turret Armament

I've been going around and around on this one: from what I can tell, only Ju 88 C-6s used as night fighters were equipped with the single MG 131 in the rear turret position. Is this this a correct conclusion? I've been looking at a lot of original photos, and even as late as the spring of 1944, there are images of C-6s in the West in the day fighter role that are all fitted with twin MG 17 turrets. The only photos I can find of C-6s in the East that are fitted with the MG 131 turret are from night fighter units.
