F/O Lorne Cameron shot down his first aircraft, a Fw-190 of the JG 26, on the day of his 21st  birthday and by mid 1944, this number would increase to 6 total claims before being shot down by Flak over France on July 3rd. Although he was able to evade capture for about about 2 months, he eventually was captured but managed to escape in September of that year and return to the UK. His Spitfire BS152 was decorated with nose art of skull in a red circle and also sported a rather unusual deletion of the outer cannon provision cover.
