KoN_ Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 How much for the game when finished , . How much for new planes .
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 22, 2014 1CGS Posted July 22, 2014 The prices are right there on the Store page for you to see. They probably aren't going to change for the foreseeable future. 1
ShamrockOneFive Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Store is here: http://il2sturmovik.com/store/ Waiting for the La-5 to drop some in price...that's a little steep for one piece of content. I do feel the overall pricing for the game is reasonable for a complex simulator product.
Nage Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) It's a bargain compared to DCS 1944.Fink I love bos too mate, but two arent comparable...one is simulator and study sim and other is great simulation. It takes way more time to build a plane with detailed clicable cockpits, advanced cem and fm...so your commdnt about prices was unnecessary...besided, dcs planes are often on sale, up to 75%... 1CGS LukeFF Posted July 22, 2014 1CGS Posted July 22, 2014 It takes way more time to build a plane with detailed clicable cockpits, advanced cem and fm. You do realize the FM programmer for BoS used to program FMs for DCS, right?
SYN_Mike77 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I'll bet those planes didn't go on 75% sales before they were even released. Also, 777/1C is not charging the same as DCS to begin with. If DCS is priced right, then the original claim that BoS La5 is a bargain still stands.
216th_Peterla Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I think this product has proper relation Price/quality.
Nage Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 You do realize the FM programmer for BoS used to program FMs for DCS, right? yes, but that doesnt mean that he meets same demands in bos...like i said the two products are apples and oranges, each with its own goals and priorities...
Gambit21 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 yes, but that doesnt mean that he meets same demands in bos...like i said the two products are apples and oranges, each with its own goals and priorities... "Apples and Oranges" might be laying it on a bit too thick considering they're both WWII flight sims.
FuriousMeow Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 (edited) yes, but that doesnt mean that he meets same demands in bos...like i said the two products are apples and oranges, each with its own goals and priorities... Give it a rest. Clickable pits doesn't make it more of simulator. You still won't be able to fly an A10 after using DCS. You might be able to start it, and then definitely crash it. 1CGS LukeFF Posted July 23, 2014 1CGS Posted July 23, 2014 yes, but that doesnt mean that he meets same demands in bos The FM developer for BoS produces just as good of work as the FM developer(s) for DCS. In fact, it was revealed during one of Jason's trip to Moscow that a far more complex FM has been created, but it would overwhelm the capabilities of today's computers. http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_464c.html Matter of fact, he has created a new flight and damage model that is 10x more accurate than the current model. The only problem is current computers cannot run it effectively in game yet and multiplayer would be crushed due to its complexity and accuracy. The demo I saw was eye-popping cool. To say we are hampered by today’s hardware and internet bandwidth is an understatement. Maybe someday it will be possible to be deployed.
5th-GIAP_Sytov Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 How much for the game when finished , . How much for new planes . How deep are your pockets mate ?
ShamrockOneFive Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 It's a bargain compared to DCS 1944. I suppose so! $40 or $50 is quite a bit more.
SR-F_Winger Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Nothing wrong with the price. They cost a little more than the ROF planes but i think i will buy em all. Even though some of them wont even be flown and just dust in my hangar:) Edited July 24, 2014 by VSG1_Winger
6./ZG26_Gielow Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) If you are an exclusive VVS or Luft pilot you should go for silver version and then buy only the La5 or FW190. You will save 20 bucks Edited July 24, 2014 by JG62Gielow
siipperi Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 You do realize the FM programmer for BoS used to program FMs for DCS, right? Source? Or do you mean Lock On? That doesnt have anything to do with their current PFMs. But both games are worth of full price tag, end of discussion! 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 25, 2014 1CGS Posted July 25, 2014 Source? Or do you mean Lock On? That doesnt have anything to do with their current PFMs. Andrey Solomykin, and he most certainly had a hand in the flight models now being produced for DCS these days. He was the one who created the Advanced Flight Model for the Su-25.

Mac_Messer Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 55 bucks is ok. For a single aircraft 20 bucks is ok too. Though I hope they drop the $ for gunpods nonsense. The FM developer for BoS produces just as good of work as the FM developer(s) for DCS. In fact, it was revealed during one of Jason's trip to Moscow that a far more complex FM has been created, but it would overwhelm the capabilities of today's computers. http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_464c.html Let`s be frank here. Developers will always say that. Makes us think what the current FMs are really worth. 1
FuriousMeow Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I thought that was Abraham Lincoln..? IE. That isn't a source... You could just read the developer diaries. http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/?do=findComment&comment=29343

Luke's statement, in leu of being asked for a source, is not a source. Anyway, thanks for the source since it wasn't provided earlier.
SYN_Haashashin Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Raaaid, Both of them are included (va a ser que los dos estan incluidos)
LastRightsXIII Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 thanks unless anything goes wrong finally will be getting the game this monday OHHHH Chit! No, really I'm glad to hear this. It's about time. Hope every thing goes right for you.
Gambit21 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 That is a quantifiable source. Luke's statement, in leu of being asked for a source, is not a source. Anyway, thanks for the source since it wasn't provided earlier. Yet I took him at face value because I knew from experience that I could. You challenged him only to find out he was correct. Sometimes it pays to know a source when you see it the first time.
Dutch Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 My mate is a copper, and his name is Price. Does that help?
Voidhunger Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) I think 320x240. With AA it looks good And you can adjust size of the window like in DOOM. Edited July 28, 2014 by Voidhunger
Sokol1 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I think 320x240. With AA it looks good But be warned that has no "WW" view, so the things get a little fuzzy in this resolution. Sokol1
