BON Statistics glitch?

Apologies if this has been reported already, or if this is a feature and not a glitch.

 

I was flying my first mission in a BF109G6 in single player in career mode in BON.  I downed two P-38s that attacked our flight.  On the way back to base I checked the Lobby and it showed that I had two medium aircraft kills.  After landing, I reviewed the mission flight map and it showed two downed P-38s attributed to me.  Then when I closed out the mission, my stats did not show the two kills.  Since this has never happened to me, I was wondering if this is an error.
