missing battle of stalingrad

does one need to purchase BOS as the base game first before purchasing the rest?  i remember owning BOS but now i dont see it? i checked my account\orders and its not there either. 

 

i may be confused with the steam version because you have to buy BOS first as the base game. but maybe that isnt required in the stand alone version?

You only need to buy BoS first for Steam like you said. On the website you can buy them as you wish.

BoS is not required as a base game in the standalone version. Are you sure you don't have BoS in Steam?

I play regularly a mission of the original and first game, Battle of Stalingrad and by comparing to pictures still in my collections but taken some years ago I must say the graphical evolution is flagrant and extraordinary! Try it and try to remember the graphics of 10 years ago and those of today as for the flying carateristics my memory is more full of fog! ? The Game evolve,  and all parts (modules) of it do so at the same time.

Yeah, my memory of the pre-release of BoS was of insanely good graphics. I remember thinking 'they'll likely never catch up with Il-2's breadth, but at least it'll be beautiful'... and to think that those graphics now look quite dated compared to what they've created, and how they are gradually building a sim that exceed the original Il-2 in almost every way (I say almost because there are a couple of things that the original still has an edge at e.g. padlock view in the old Il-2 is much better - but it is just one or two things out of hundreds which are better in the new series).
