czech693 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 You can now assign individual profiles to aircraft and tanks. I usually don't do that as I don't want a lot of extra key binds to remember. However, something changed my mind. I was experimenting with curves posted by others on this forum. I decided to go back to straightline as that's what I've always used. So, I zeroed up the settings sliders. Shortly after that I tried flying the P-47 and had a heck of time getting it of the ground and in flight it wanted to dive into the ground. Took full backstick to keep it up. I tried the P-40 and Hurricane with both having prop strikes on takeoff. After troubleshooting I notice that my pitch curve was wacked out (set the neutral setting to zero and look at the curve, or lack therof), and that there was a fourth slider now on responses called neutral. I had zeroed neutral with the other sliders not realizing it was new. Once zeroed by putting it in the center (the other sliders zero at the far left of the range) everthing was back to normal. This gave me an idea for the Flying Circus aircraft. I took the Albatros DVa and adjusted the neutral setting while in flight and at what I considered a cruise power setting. I was able to get it to fly level with a -10 on the neutral setting. I consider this having my rigger set the aircraft for level flight at cruise. Not really sure those WW1 aircraft really had those dive or climb habits. Can't imagine those pilots would hold stick settings on long flights. You would need to set this per each aircraft as I tried the same setting on the Hurricane and it wanted to go slightly nose down.
