kraut1 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Hi, Do you think it is possible to create such airfields (or spawning) points to simulate english airfields? Could be interesting for british fighter bomber anti shipping missions or the Brussel anti Gestapo HQ Raid and german defense operations. In the IL2 1946 IL2DCG there are "off map airfields existing". Best regards
DD_Friar Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Hello In the mission editor it is very easy to add air starts where ever you want.

Yes, I think you are right. But for Vander would be the task, to implement this new type of airfield in his EMG for automatic mission generation.
DD_Friar Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Oh I see , sorry I missed the point of your question. 1
Mtnbiker1998 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 I could see this being pretty fun, getting some of the earlier western planes on the Rhineland map for added variety. I'd also imagine the same tech would be useful when Normandy gets more fronts, as some people may not want to always take the 30 minute Trek across the wide part of the channel!

Because of that I fly with all flight sims mostly in he Boulogne - Calais -Dunkirchen -Manston -Dover - Lympne area. In this area I can fly short 20 minutes missions without time acceleration. 1
