What's up with controls assigement in 5.001?

Hello,

I am trying remap my Warthog Hotas and I unable to operate some controls that are mapped to Warthog throttle. For example Water radiator shutters axis. Keys works ok and radiator reacts. No luck when trying with Warthog Throttle buttons. I am doing something wrong? It worked pre 5.001 and I had no issue to map all.

I mapped to red china hat, no matter if I tried different buttons or even buttons on Joystick.

It is very strange, Engine Boost works, Engine start/stop not. Axes works.

Something is not right. This behaviour I found.

If I delete data/input folder from Il-2 install and launch game and just map Engine Start/Stop that button works. Then when I map Water Radiator buttons and they didn't work.

Basically, it renders IL-2 unflyable for me as I fly in VR only and need all mapped on HOTAS.

As I sad above, this is new behavior. Before Normandy all worked fine with mappings.

Investigated more and it looks like so far only Water radiators shutters control axis mappings are non functional when mapped as increase/decrease buttons.

It is all over place, for example separate Trim Up/Down doesn't work but Trim axis as increase/decrease buttons works

This is absolutely nothing new - you have to bind your buttons you assigned for your switches to the axis too. Both need to be defined. Check this screenshot
I did some years ago:

If you do it like I show you on my screenshot, then you won't have any trouble anymore - just believe me.... and yes, don't ask why. It's the way it is.

Thaks a lot for solution THERION. Problem is Water radiator has only axis, not separate definitions for open / close.

This issue is new for me. Before Normandy it worked ok.

Even map axis to Water radiator doesn't work now.

I got generic reply from support that didn't help. Please can someone with Warthog Throttle confirm that Water radiator Shutter axis works for him as increase/decrease buttons mapped to throttle or axis mapped to throttle axis (used gray "friction" one)? Same mappings work for me with Engine Mix or Propeller Pitch for example.
