Game Freezes Every 3-5s for 0.5-1s in BoN

Posted a bug for this but wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue.

 

On Normandy map I get the game effectively freezes for up to 1 second every 3-5 seconds once flying over enemy lines.  This is on a new campaign.  It's not like a stutter or drop in framerate, but more like the game engine hits a complete bottleneck and pauses to process frames before rendering.  The FPS counter is pretty much locked to 60; and my CPU/GPU does not go above 60% utilization, and there are no spikes during these freezes.

 

I have a track recorded, but watching it back the video is completely smooth; making me think that it's a game engine issue instead of hardware problem (in so that the game is effectively still running and writing data to the track, the video rendering is not working?).  I see the problem in my VR headset and computer screen.

 

My rig:

 

W10 pro

i7-9700k clocked at 4.57ghz

32gb DDR4 3600mhz

RTX 3070ti

M.2 PCI-e 3.0 SSD

Q2 VR headset

 

Game settings attached.

 

Anyone else getting this issue, or had something before? I've actually lowered my settings already, to no effect.  Will go lower for testing purposes, and try to reproduce when not in VR mode.

Maybe it's a bug in the mission. Can you upload your track please and share the link, then it can get forwarded to the developers.

Have you tried it not locked to 60 FPS, I remember way back trying the 60 fps lock and got the same thing you're mentioning. I'd disable that feature and run a balanced preset too.
