Can you repair in single player?

I have a busted track and my ai teammate just flipped upside down. There no roadside assistance so I'm asking if I can repair in single player.  I turned off the tank and my driver hatch is open. Nothing happens.  

 

I also had all crew members hatches open. Nothing. Help.

Activate techno chat. Normally you see the estimated repair time then. What type of mission did you play?

Scenario missions which btw after waiting some time i heard one of the crew members holler out something so i checked the track and it was fixed. I think it Took about 5 to 8 minutes irl time. 

 

Techno chat? Is that in game?

Not only can you repair, but in SP if you use the bracket keys, ][, you can speed up and slow down your repair times.

Another question,  one of the ai in my platoon's engine cant keep up he says. If I have him turn off his engine and open hatch will he repair?
