Generating a Spitfire defense mission runway starting South West UK.

The AQMB (5.001) seems to always generate GERMAN AA and other vehicles in the British player's vicinity, (AA selected).

(No changes, only I set Skirmish to Single for mission tape, and named it).

Then i made a new version (with Editor 5.001) including all Normandy blocks from the template folder, except early airfields.

German stuff changed to British.

Loads fine in the editor, but ALWAYS crashes the 5.001 game.

Re-save the file in the ME did not work BTW.

This one without description and NO WEATHER  options set does load in the game.

Can the bug be weather related?

I couldn't reproduce crash with your mission. Does it crash every time for you?
Do you have any crashdumps left?

What did you expect to have as ground targets — Allied forces?
Ground targets you've selected when setting up a quick mission will always appear near starting point, not on ohther side of the Channel.

I was looking for a crash dump, wasn't any one.

This one crashes to the desktop just after mission loading.

Ground targets ... with the Normandy scenery i was expecting German stuff on EU soil ... not in England LoL

In Rheinland the AQMB works far better regarding historical areas. An overhaul for the Normandy maps?

Hopefully SYN_Vander's EMB will be more useful for Normandy.

An overhaul for what? These are supposed to be Quick missions, not "fly 20-25 minutes across the Channel and then fly another 20-25 minutes back."

This one crashes to when loading into the game. edited out all the integrity errors BTW. Still crashes.

I think the cause is in one group? PS i have no mods active.

It dosent crash here... but its almost unplayable in VR with the lowest enemy settings

When i look at the mission its just one big mess, lots of viechels enabled at the start, even if the are so far away

so lots of the PC resouces are used on game logics that i cant even see or i am near? it makes no sence to do that?

There is a million Checkzones and 5 complex triggers
Units thats enabled from start to end, without even getting close to them

There are so many ways to reserve the users PC power
why dont you guys use them in the mission generator?

The BOS generator used for QMB do not even use so many items compared to the ROF generator in the carrer missions
but the both make a reel messy job and are making i difficult to use the game in VR without sacrificing the looks

If i made a MP map like these in game missions, no one would play it, it wouldent be fun with 20 fps...

 

Its a great game guys
But its a shame the 2 mission generators are making sutch a mess (on all maps)
I know you guys can do way better than this
(i do have the mission saved if needed)

weird; i loaded all the blocks, villages, cities, airfields, bridges etc.

Only had the Command land errors; i think they were meant to be airfield MCUs ...

and the V1_compstation.mgm missing. Something i did not get yet causes the crash above ...

It's probably irrelevant to the crash, but you seem to be adding every template twice, there's two Stonehenges, for example.

Try remaking map scenery from the scratch, will it crash?

 

UPD: The crash was caused by all Normandy templates added twice, the game were not supposed to handle >68,000 objects in the single mission. The limits were somehow extended, but anyways, it's better to not make missions like that.

We know of those issues, none of it is cause of the crash. MCU's are helpers, left by map artists, we'll remove them, but they should cause no trouble outside the errors in the editor.

THNX, just back from abroad trip, will try is ASAP.

 

PS is it possible to post the v1_compstation.mgm, and it's folder location for download?
