WWCephas Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 After the latest patch I can no longer link from inside one group to another. When I select an MCU like a trigger timer and then try to link it to another timer in a different group it will not connect. As soon as I set the receiving group as working, the "target" cue remains on the cursor, but it does not connect and even though the original timer is still selected it will not let you right click and connect to any other object or target without going back to the first group and setting it as active and then you are back to square one. I have tried restarting the mission editor and making changes to known good maps from previous builds with the same result. AMD Ryzen 7 3700 64 gb RAM RTX 2060 1
1CGS Regingrave- Posted September 8, 2022 1CGS Posted September 8, 2022 Thank you for your report! We'll try to restore this feature, although it was never used for our internal work and we had to spend some time figuring out what the problem is. Meanwhile you can still add links to objects in different working group through Properties > Targets/Objects dialogue, by clicking it and selecting an object/target in the mission tree. 1
WWCephas Posted September 8, 2022 Author Posted September 8, 2022 Thanks for the reply and the work around! Hopefully you can restore this as I use it extensively in all our 40+ Wingwalkers WWII COOP (in dogfight mode) missions to keep maps well organized in the object tree menu. I know you said you figured out what I was trying to say but just for reference the easiest way to test this functionality is the following: Open a new mission and create two timers and then make them a group. Then copy the group to make a new one. Then try to link a timer from one group to another group by selecting one timer in a group and pressing find target and then set the other group as working and trying to click on it.
