Real tank controls possible?

I would very much like to drive these tanks like it's real life counterpart.  I had this idea of using 2 throttles "sticks" to operate both tracks respectively and my pedals as throttle however I dont think that's possible in tank crew. Is it? I really think they should do this considering it's got VR support.

I will certainly try.  I'm sure I'll be ignored but it wouldn't hurt right?  

 

It just doesnt make any sense that they are on the sim side of the spectrum yet they are incorporating arcade style controls on top of that they support virtual reality.  Again I'll ask in suggestions.  Thanks.
