Update 19.05.2023: English warnings for allied missions added

Hi All,

just for info my german audio warning messages (warning of enemy planes) that I use for all missions since march 2020.

(I don`t like moving icons on maps or HUDs in WW2 simulations)

hier meine Audio Warnungen vor Feindflugzeugen, die ich seit März 2020 bei jedem Einsatz benutze.

(Ich möchte in einer realistischen WK.2 Simulation keine sich bewegenden Symbole HUDs verwenden)

 

-Messages by other german pilots that are closer than 2,5km if they see enemy planes.

-Warnungen von deutschen Fliegern die näher als 2,5km sind, wenn sie feindliche Flugzeuge sichten.

 

-Messages by close german ground troops / airfields if they see enemy planes. Works only if you are close to these observers.

-Warnungen von nahen deutschen Heerestruppen /  Leitstellen wenn sie feindliche Flugzeuge sichten.

 

-Messages by german Radio Direction Finding / Radar if they locate enemy planes nearer 15km / 20km.

-Warnungen von deutschen Leitstellen (Funkmeßpeilung) wenn sich feindliche Flugzeuge auf 15km/20km näher.

 

-TESTED IN MISSIONS WITH CA: 10 -20 PLANES

-GETESTET IN EINSÄTZEN MIT CA: 10-20 PLANES

-PWCG Missions

-Easy Mission Generator by Vander missions (during the last 12 months ca. more than 150missions flown)

 

To avoid to much discussion about realism:

Each message can deactivated or the random probatility that the message appears can be varied by evryone as he wants.

Um zu viele Diskussionen über die Realitätsnähe zu vermeiden:

Jeder kann nach belieben alle Meldungen deaktivieren oder die Wahrscheinlichkeit einstellen.

 

I have recorded all messages with my old Galaxy S5 by myself.

Ich habe alle Meldungen selbst mit meinem alten Galaxy S5 aufgenommen.

 

Because I am not an actor or news speaker all messages as short as posssible to avoid that they are annoying.

Da ich kein Schauspieler... bin sind alle Meldungen so kurz wie möglich, damit sie nicht zu sehr nerven.

Installation:

Audio  Files: Audio files for data-audio-folder.zip

copy audio files in a folder called common in: /Alle Audio Dateien in diesen Ordner kopieren:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Audio\common

 

YOU CAN TEST NOW 14 EXAMPLE MISSIONS:

IN THESE MISSIONS THE MOD(GROUP) IS ALREADY INSTALLED AND I HAVE FLOWN ALL MISSIONS

IN DIESEN EINSÄTZEN IST DIE GRUPPE BEREITS INSTALLIERT UND ICH HABE ALLE EINSÄTZE GEFLOGEN

 

A small bug:

at the beginning of each mission 1 or 2 unnecessary short Message.

beim Beginn jeder Mission 1 oder 2 unnötige Meldungen

Some hints:

-It is better to have for all enemy planes "Delete After Death" activated, otherwise already destroyed plane could create warnings.

-I combine this Mod with my other Mod:

Mod to deactivate message: "[player callsign] is attacking enemy fighters"

Groups: German-Audio-Messages-09a.Group, english-audio-messages-vac.Group (2nd Update 19.05.)

The group has to be installed in each mission,

Required time after mission is loaded in Full Mission Editor ca. 2minutes

-open mission in missions builder

-search player's plane and zoom in to it

-unselect objects by clicking on the ground

-with File/Import from File import group

-click on group (last element) and with right click Set Group as Working

-select all Objects

-Reset working Group

-press SHIFT O (curser icon Arrow with text Object) and select players plane

   -if player plane is not in another Group you click directly on it, a green line appears for the connection

   -if the players plane is in another group first set this group as working and after that select the plane

(now the players line is "connected" to the proximity switches)

Save the mission.

Fly the mission

Hi. Can you please tell me how to install this into career missions? Where to put *.Group files etc.? Thanks. I´d really like to have this feature in career. 

I mean, is there a way to incorporate it into mission templates so I don´t have to add it manually each time I generate new mission?

Hi I created a small video.

In the Editor after ungroup use "Shift o" to link the Proximity MCUs to the plane

It works like a charm! Many thanks mate you really made my day :) this feature adds so much immersion and playability... I really don´t know how could I exist so many years without this ? ?

 

 Anyway, I´m not much of a coder myself, but I´ll try if this feature can be coded and implemented directly into waypoints files in mission gerating engine templates (i. e. SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\scg\18\blocks_career\aircraft\player\waypoints ;  but basicaly every career has this directory). Wouldn´t you to be interested in trying this/helping? ?

One more question: Do you think I'd be possible to add aprox. direction (südlich, ostlich etc) and even height? For exmaple: Achtung, Gegner, 15 km, ostlich, Hanne 2000, nähert sich?

It would be beyond anything most of the sp players could ever wish for :)

For this Mod as far as I know it is not possible. This is a general Problem of IL2 GB.

But I combine this mod with another mods that report from time to time the grid locations of enemys. I will send you the link later.

I have released these "Radar" or "Funkpeilung" Mods during the last 5 or 6 years for all WW2 Maps.

Installation is easier and faster: After you have installed and saved the Warning Massages Mod stay in the Editor and just "Import From File" the "radar" mod.

Just save the mission.

The Radar Mods are in general easier to be integrated in template files, because they have not to be linked to the players plane.

For example if you use Easy Mission Generator by Vander it is possible to load the Radar group into the static group or into the "Radar_[Front]" group.

 

How I use them during flight:

-I do navigation manually by watching the landscape, the shore lines and the rivers.

-So when a Grid location of enemies is reported I know approximatly in which direction I have to look.

Thanks mate. You're definately King of the Day ?. I'll try to find out if i can get this into templates. Right now I'm using audio messages and radar with pwcg and the immersion is beyond anything before ?because I play it only on full realism settings.

 

It's a pitty that the devs don't give a damn about the possible single player features :/.
