-332FG-brooklynspo Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 (edited) I have noticed the wheel brakes in the P-38 and A-20 were weakened at some point recently. I can say this with confidence as I fly these two planes regularly with my squadron. (There may be other planes whose brake modelling has changed but I would not be able to notice the changes, based on memory.) One result of the changes is that both planes can no longer perform engine run-ups as they could previously - the brakes will not hold the plane. The AAF P-38 pilot's training manual indicates the brakes should be able to hold the plane at up to 54" manifold and 3,000 RPM. This is not the case with recent changes. I have not yet found any documentation about the A-20's braking power. Edited September 5, 2022 by -332FG-brooklynspo grammar
