tvcasualty Posted April 9 Posted April 9 This happens to me with the Aero and a RTX 4090 (VR) all the time in the 262 as I aggressively track the enemy using my head. It suddenly locks out everything and all I can do is watch as I crash and then must restart the game. 1
Lithium Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Been a while since I got to play but same thing happened again today. Its not a USB disconnect issue as the devices function fine outside of the game while the plan death spirals in the app behind. It got me thinking is everyone thats had this beenusing SteamVR like myself or are others getting it still when using OpenComposite?
spreckair Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I am using SteamVR and have not had this issue for quite a while now. I think the thing that did it for me was updating my BIOS (ASUS) and running the Windows system file checker. Also, I ditched the USB hub I was using and connected everything directly. Best of luck to you.

It can be just a very short disconnect, like half a second or so, so if it works in Windows after that, it doesn't mean a thing.
losa Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Same happened to me twice this week, Quest 3 with OpenComposite, lost all input in game, including keyboard and mouse. Had to use VR menu (virtual desktop menu) to kill the game. All USB working fine outside of game. 1
GOA_Karaya_VR Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Two times on this month this happend to me on Combat Box in the Middle of a dogfight, screen freezes, sound keeps going and all periferals including mouse and keyboard stuck. Im using Reberb G2 and OpenXr with Opemcomposite.
Pea_Shooter Posted June 19 Posted June 19 (edited) This has become a major (everyday) issue lately (the past week). After I press 'start' on a mission, the mouse stops working or trackir or CH Products or all of them together. I also suspect issues might happen after Windows updates. (I've had this problem in the past). I plug all my usb devices into MB connections; no hubs. Edited June 19 by Pea_Shooter
olekblah Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I also have this issue using Pimax Crystal and OpenXR. Makes it essentially impossible to play as it is frequent. 1
FTC_Princess Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) I had the same issue for a long time, specifically the one where everything stops responding and also the view gets stuck when you look over your shoulder. This is the fix: Edited July 6 by FTC_Princess 2
FlyingH Posted Wednesday at 08:35 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:35 PM Jay @jay2cent put up this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWTZkB9rVU0 showing how to possibly deal with the problem. He explains at the last 5 - 6 minutes of the vid what he saw happen and how it was fixed. Hope you get help from his findings.

In that video though he's talking about stuttering and USB device disconnects (ie you hear the disconnect sound, or reconnect sound etc). In this issue's case with IL2, neither of those are a problem. E.g. my computer is running perfectly fine, there is no stuttering, and none of my devices disconnect from windows. I do have that sound effect enabled because I can hear it when plugging in my simpit gear. But none of that is happening while playing IL2. It's just that the game, and only the game, will stop recognising peripheral inputs after you pause it for a few minutes or alt tab or do whatever to handle the interruptions that tend to come into every play session. Somehow IL2 just decides to stop listening to the devices, in a way that no other sim or game (that I have anyway) does. @FTC_Princess is closer to the problem, as I do notice the issue happens less when I have all 1 million devices with USB power saving disabled. But since Microsoft intend to send windows updates constantly, and these updates tend to turn some of the USB power savings back on, it's not really a solution.. In any case power saving is a valid feature of the PC and we shouldn't have to permanently disable it just for one game. Edited Thursday at 04:16 PM by TAIPAN_
