FMB problem: creating spawn points

Hi,

I'm doing a bit of work on the FMB.

I've followed the ACG tutorial on how to create a spawn point on an airfield for a MP mission.

Unfortunately when trying to play it the spawn point remains the airport default ones and not the ones I've created.

What I'm doing wrong?

Don't know how ACG solve this issue, but a "add hoc" solution is put an static object, e.g. "Storm weigh" in each default spawn point for block then, so the planes don't spawn there. "Storm weight" is small, will be difficult to see from the new spawn points, and anyway appropriated.

I know the problem and it is annoying. I have no explanation as to why this is, but it is a remedy. Please try this:
Create an airfield with runway and spawn points and everything. Now place the first waypoint (take-off) of the aircraft e.g. east near the airfield point. Now go into the game and see if the plane is on one of your points. If not, go back to the FMB and place the take-off point south of the airfield point. If not, continue (west, north) until the Game takes your (!) Custum Airfield and not the default one.

This is an interesting solutions although I think can't be used on MP.

But still thanks for sharing.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but I don't know what role it plays for multiplayer or single player. An airfield is created in the FMB and also entire missions, regardless of whether it is a multiplayer online game or a single-player mission?

I know Philstyle did a video on this, I'll see if it's still available.

 

But if I recall there are some quirks, with spawns defaulting to the airfield radius but that doesn't sound like that's the issue.

 

I can take a look at the SoW code and see if I can see anything that might help.

My bad sorry, I misunderstood "first waypoint" not as the spawn point but as a real waypoint for a flight.
