...it used to be possible, now if we don't have the .mission file, is there any other way?

1. In the Open dialog, type an asterisk in the File name box.

2. Choose a file with file type .msnbin.

3. Click Open.

4. Once the mission opens, in the File menu, click Save As and save as a .mission file.

Thanks Jim, I know that trick, the problem is that some old .msnbin shows that Error Reading the Mission File and don't load...

I thought by now there was already a .msnbin to .mission converter or something...

There is no converter that I'm aware of. Without the .mission file, you can't fix the error or update to the latest version using the Resave Missions in Folder option.

If I remember well, older versions of the editor were able to load from .msnbin, or maybe I'm mistaken, anyway, thanks.

They can, but only if the version of the used .msnbin file format corresponds to the version required by your specific Mission Editor version. That's why you should keep the mission file; the .msnbin is a kind of optimised/compressed file that's designed for fast loading and small size, at the cost of reduced compatibility with different game versions. The .mission file format was designed with editability and compatibility in mind, and should always be the base file you load in the Editor.

It makes sense.
