Interesting, thanks

Why our IL-2s in IL-2 Great Battles doesn't have this smoke dispenser as weapon loadout?

If you have enemy planes behind your six you just cover them with smoke every time they try to go behind your six. Could be very funny in MP where enemy planes attack in train manner, when you smoke them they crash in each other. Flying low and drop bombs has the same effect but this tactics almost every MP player knows already.........................................

The VAP was an incendiary phosphorus dispenser.  It was available in the original game for the IL2.

I once quick fried a Bf109 with them on the BlitzPig's server over Tuapse.

Yeah, they were a blast to drop on a ramp full of spawnsuckers back in the day, all lined up nice and cranking engines.

The one I got was coming at me in the air, trying for a head on pass.  I pulled back on the stick and pickled off the VAP as he passed under me.

He was quite surprised in the chat.

This is why to never use a runway...

...which got pretty wild in a TB-3 ...between the many obstacles, parked aircraft, nearby ponds and tress..
