Bullet tracer effect vanishes when game is paused? Can we just keep the tracer effect?

Simply put the following two screen shots were taken (literally) one frame after the other.

The first frame is a video still frame, taken while the game is running:tracera.thumb.jpg.3fec66db0c74ae0c96a8475ce008a2bb.jpg

The next frame is when the game is paused:

As can be seen, when the game is paused, the tracer effect completely vanishes and is replaced by just a single bullet.

Just for the sake of making great screenshots, would it be possible to keep the tracer effect while the game is paused (and by effect, I mean the tracer, rather than just a bullet glow)?

Currently, the only way to get an image showing the tracer in action is to do as I have done here which is created a video and then screengrab an image, which isn't ideal.

Just asking.

Neil, I'm just seeing this now.  This was done the same way in CloD and is actually very accurate.  A tracer isn't actually a long streak but only appears that way because of brightness and fast moving speed.  The tracer compound is just a small, intense flame at the base of the projectile.  The biggest problem with this still image isn't that the tracer is a "dot", it's that the propeller is still a blurred disk.  The prop should look...just like a prop, frozen in time like it's not even spinning
