VR Desert Wings Update?

Does anyone have the latest update for progress on the VR version of CoD/Bitz or Desert Wings? I purchased these sims well over a year ago thinking they were VR and when I went for a refund I was told they would be upgraded to VR, so I figured I would wait. The last update was in February when they were beta testing. So does anyone know the release date? I want sand in my goggles. I have been flying over Russia for so long I think I may be starting to fly like Putin.

Still a work in progress....  It will be the best thing since sliced bread, so keep holding your breath.  But in the process, do not get anoxic and die, for it maybe a long breath hold!

They had an open beta a while back where you could apply to a beta tester for the current implementation of VR still in development (but thats now a closed beta as many ppl applied to be testers)

This is the latest post on VR from the developers (about a week ago)

To everyone, no matter which side of the fence you sit, or opinion you have, in an ideal world we would let everyone know every inch of development, what's working, what's not, what we are introducing, what we'd love to release, but cannot for various reasons, to have an open beta where everyone gets a live look at where we are at, share the good work, share the frustration of an aspect that isnt playing like we want it to.

Unfortunately we are not in a position to do that.

As for development, everyone knows the team is not huge. As everyone knows the majority of the team have day jobs. Personally I work 50+hrs a week in a senior management role. Whether we are a commercial entity or not doesn't buy time back from our actual jobs, to spend more of our non work time working on the sim and for many years. The team we have are doing the best, putting in huge hours, working with very complex programs that are just that -  complex.  If it were easy our work would have been released a long time ago. But we persist as we know the product produced is worth the extra effort and time.

As soon as we can get more development information out to the community, we will. We have commercial  agreements around the release of certain information. These must be adhered to.

If people here didnt care about the sim, you would no longer be here, same with all of us at TFS.  Whilst it isnt the greatest at times to hear negative comments, perceived or real, in fairness most are constructive, and ones perception of the intent of some comments could be determined by what side of the bed one got out of or opinion of the person making them.

At the end of the day all players want the same as us, the release of improvements and new DLC to what we believe to be one of the best flight sims ever to hit the market.

When that happens we hope to see the VR players come across en masse, the great SOW campaign back, and many players new and old returning.

Timeframe: Aspirationally, Buzzsaw has mentioned rough estimates, but with understandable caveats.

No one person is more keen to get the improvements/DLC out than we are.

As for posts/opinions, please stay engaged. Keep those posts coming. Differences of opinion give colour to forums.  If everyone toed a particular line, for or against, forums would be boring as bat sh*t as we would say in Oz.

Being respectful is the most important factor.

Soon as we can release information, you will see it here.

Please see this thread for an answer.

This thread has been closed because of:

-  the number of posts containing either misleading or incorrect information about TF or 1C

-  negative comments and personal attacks on other posters

I would refer readers to Pattle's above post.
