bzc3lk Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 You Bet. Couldn't slap the plastic down fast enough!
BlitzPig_EL Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Nope. The necessity of "unlocking" two of the most prominent aircraft, the Yak 1 and 109 G2 pretty much forced my hand here. I'm waiting till after relsease and some reviews from real players first.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I did I'm not keen on this though "In-game achievement system, allowing players to unlock new airplane modifications/upgrades based on player’s mission results."
Feathered_IV Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I'll preorder this week. How soon is autumn in the fashionable part of the world? The 190 and La were a little late for Stalingrad though. I'll wonder how they will compare in price to a DCS P-51.
StG2_Manfred Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 If I register and preorder now with my forum nick name (which is not my squadron nick), will it be possible to change this nick later???
JG4_Sputnik Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I want to so bad... but I guess I´m going to wait a little longer for some videos and more information. (can they really do so many planes in such a short time without cutting the "Sim" part? Does the Focke 190 and LA5 really fit in that scenario? What about this gameplay mechanics to achieve new planes? Why do they need such an action-focussed trailer to sell the game? What is their target group for this?) Obviously 1C would like to copy the success of World of Tanks etc. (which is a billion dollar business) so this could go in the wrong direction (for me). As soon as I´m convinced that it´s going to be a real hardcore fligthsim rather than a world of planes-ish improoved RoF i´ll definitely put my 90 bucks down. For now though I am just still on the fence and will wait and see (and pray to god).
Rama Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Pre-ordered... (even if I regret the decision about unlocking aircrafts)
airmalik Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Yup. They've got my ninety bucks. With devs like them around I hope to one day fly a realistic combat sim in the environment shown in the video.
Uufflakke Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) No, no pre-order from my side. I have my doubts about the unlockable stuff. And I wait for the first reviews of BoS and the actual ingame videos. Usually a trailer isn't representative for the actual game. (Please, proof me I'm wrong.) The BoS trailer looks very slick and it would be really something if the game has the same quality. (I take the breath coming out of the mouth of the rear gunner for granted. ) Would be awesome to see these kind of clouds in the actual game. Edited July 26, 2013 by Uufflakke
707shap_Srbin Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Does the Focke 190 and LA5 really fit in that scenario? La-5 equipped regiments (2 squadrons + Staff flight, 20 aircrafts and 20 pilots), wich saw action in Stalingrad area in that timeframe: In aug.1942 - 287 iad, consisted of 4 regiments: 240iap, 297iap, 27iap, 437iap, In early september 1942, 15iap joined battle with its 20 La-5's. In september-october it was wiped out, and in November it returned to Stalingrad with 20 LaGG-3's. La-5 was 3rd (in quantity) Soviet fighter of Stalingrad Battle after Yak-1 and Yak-7.
csThor Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I did, the premium. I recently spent 130€ on aftermarket parts for 1/72 scale armor modeling so 90$ don't hurt me, either. And if it helps to keep the genre alive ...
Dunringill Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I will preorder in a little while. Just spent 69 $ on a Wingnut kit...

For now though I am just still on the fence and will wait and see (and pray to god). +1 I was expecting at least one of the "premium" planes to be the La-5, that the other would be the FW190 I did not expect, especially after the heated discussion about wether or not it actually participated in the air battles over Stalingrad. I personally was expected something more among the lines of say a Bf110 or a Bf109E Jabo, etc. Also I am wondering about the 2 aircraft that will be released after launch, my guess would be that one of them is either the MC.202 or IAR80 and the other is some model of the I-16 family. I find the premium price tag quite excessive, not going to preorder at this time, I will probably wait for the launch, then get the "normal" version and buy the La5/FW190 seperately... O_catarM Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I will wait till we know more info about this "unlock" system.
ATAG_Slipstream Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 How much is it in Russia? $49 is AAA title territory, $89.99 is ... I will wait for real reviews from people I trust, and hope for the best.
Zak Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I'd deeply appreciate it if you moved over to THIS TOPIC, gentlemen. And thanks A LOT to those who's already pre-ordered!
